With giant plate-like shoes on their feet, snowshoers explore remote romantic places and hike through valleys covered in a deep blanket of snow. Leaving from right outside our holiday apartments, an easy family tour will lead you to Unterautal.
Fans of ski touring are drawn high into the mountains where, after a challenging climb, they can slice back down to the valley across slopes of virgin powder. If you make it all the way to the summit, you will be rewarded by magnificent scenery stretching far into the distance! The view from the Rofan of the Achensee far below is simply breathtaking! But please remember: Before every ski tour, always check the snow and avalanche conditions in advance and ensure you have full safety equipment in your rucksack! Here at the Purest, we have snowshoes which you are welcome to borrow.
Winter Hikes near Achensee
Outdoor exercise in the fresh air is healthy. It stimulates your cardiovascular system and calms the spirit. In the Achensee holiday region, they have created more than 150 kilometers of clearly marked winter hiking paths, leading you through beautifully snowy countryside. Make a refreshment stop at one of the open huts in the area, then treat yourself to a selection of popular local specialties. Meanwhile, the sunshine will warm you to the core!

If you love romance and would like to explore your chosen holiday region by horse-drawn sleigh, you will have an excellent opportunity to do just that. Sledding near Achensee
Children and adults alike simply love the opportunities for sledding close to Achensee. Here, we greet you with 6 sled runs, ranging in difficulty as well as length (between 0.8 and 4.8 kilometers). Whether you prefer to make your way to the top on your own two feet, or with the help of the "Toboggan Express" or the mountain lifts – absolutely nothing stands in the way of your ultimate sledding enjoyment! Sleds and snow discs can be borrowed here at the hotel.
